Bismarck-Mandan is alive with family fun!

For a different type of water fun, families head to Raging Rivers Water Park, with a seemingly endless number of water slides, from speed slides to test thrill seekers or slides that offer a whitewater feel. A Lazy River and Kiddie Pool satisfy those just looking to splash a bit.

The Superslide Amusement Park is the prototypical family entertainment center. With a 140-foot super slide, roller coaster, Ferris wheel, go-karts, bumper cars, mini golf and more, the kiddos will be begging to stay until closing time.

As North Dakota’s largest zoo, the Dakota Zoo is home to 600 animals, birds, reptiles and fish. A 30-minute train ride tours the 125 species calling the faculty home.

North Dakota’s history comes alive at the North Dakota Heritage Center and State Museum. Families can tour the artifacts and interactive exhibits, view a full-scale T. rex replica or discover their roots at the State Archives.

Mandan is the site of the North Dakota State Railroad Museum. Exhibits and artifacts from the railroad’s heyday include an 1890 Steele Depot, an SW diesel switcher engine and other full-scale railroad cars.

Exhibits open their eyes to the wonders of human anatomy, physics, agriculture, engineering, energy and more, piquing their interests and helping develop their curious minds!

Bismarck-Mandan is home to North Dakota's Premier Family Entertainment Bowling Center - Midway Lanes. With 52 bowling lanes complemented by four party rooms, concessions, pool tables and more, it is the definition of family recreation.

Electric streetcars harkening to those used in the area one hundred years ago tours through Fort Lincoln State Park. The trolley runs throughout the summer months.

Baseball is the name of the game at the Scheels Sports Complex. With eight youth baseball fields, concessions and a recreational trail that connects to the Pebble Creek Loop, the perfect summer day awaits!
