A cycling club that is all things cycling around Bismarck-Mandan. In the summer there are weekly gravel and/or mountain bike races on local trails in Bismarck-Mandan.

Book Club at the library at which we discuss books of all genres. We meet the first Tuesday of each month beginning in September -- new schedule out soon.

If you crochet, knit, embroider, cross-stitch, punch needle, weave, anything that involves yarn or thread and are in the Bismarck area, then this is the group for you! We meet every 3rd Saturday of every month from 12:00 - 4:00 pm starting June 21st: June 21st, July 19th, August 16th, September 20th, October 18th, November 15th, and December 20th.

We host regular bicycle group rides and races throughout the spring, summer, and fall. We meet weekly. If you are looking to volunteer, we always need help with our 5 annual bike races!

We’re a group that meets weekly at different locations with our families to discuss the week’s sermon.

A support group for full time and part time stay at home moms, offering a variety of social activities. Meets multiple times a week. MOMS club hosts yearly projects giving back to the community.

Teen HQ is the library's space for 6th through 12th graders. Walk-in hours are times when library staff is present, and technology and gaming are available to use in Teen HQ.

The Bismarck Optimist Club supports local charities that serve kids through community fundraisers like the Avenue of Flags, Christmas Gift Wrapping at the mall, and more.

Meetings: Every Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. at Lady J’s.

Volunteer Opportunities: Help with set-up and take-down for the Avenue of Flags, wrap gifts at the mall in December, stuff Easter eggs for the Optimist Easter Egg Hunt, join the events committee, take part in the Optimist Bowling Fundraiser, assist with the Optimist Oratory Contest, and more.

The Bismarck Parkinson’s Support Group (BPSG) was founded in 2008 with the mission to promote education, provide resources, companionship, and support for people with Parkinson’s and their families in Bismarck/Mandan and surrounding areas.

This group meets every second Thursday of the month at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Benedictine Living Community, Bismarck, ND.

A group of dog enthusiasts dedicated to fostering and growing a deeper understanding of our canine friends. We also hold AKC recognized conformation events every year (4 shows in 2 days). Foster based animal rescue that works with impounds in Western ND to alleviate overcrowding, has a barn cats program, assists with spay/neuter programs, offers help training. Get involved by volunteering to help with shopping, fundraising, dog walking, transporting, or fostering.

A non profit that provides art opportunities (visual, dance, music, drama and creative writing) at no cost targeting individuals who are low income, at risk or have devlopmental disabilities. We are in need of volunteers to teach our art, dance, creative writing, drama, and music classes.  We are also needing volunteers in the classes to assist the instructors. 

Volunteers provide critical support for our day-to-day work while changing lives and truly making a difference in their communities. Opportunities include Gift Shop, Information Desk, Wayfinder, Surgical Waiting Room Host, Eucharistic Minister, Pet Therapy, Event Planning, Food and Nutrition, and Environmental Services.

Catholic Charities North Dakota provides adoption, counseling, and guardianship services in North Dakota. Our counseling services accepts most insurances, and offers a sliding fee scale based on income. We provide adoption services for foster care through the AASK program, and In-State, Out-of-State, and International services. We also provide parenting services and access to resources for pregnancy or parents.

Bismarck Special Olympics is open to individuals ages 8 and older with an intellectual disability. Our athletes can join any of the 10 sports we offer year-round. An important aspect of Special Olympics is that athletes compete at no cost to themselves or their families. These individuals hear "No" often enough in their lives - we will not tell them they can't participate in Special Olympics because of financial constraints. Bismarck currently has 243 athletes involved in our program. We offer volunteer opportunities such as coaching, partnering with athletes where you are on the court or field with the athletes, referring during tournaments.

We normally practice on Wednesday from 6:30pm-8:00pm but during the months of March-May, we practice on Thursday from 6:30pm-8:00pm and Tuesdays from 7:00pm-9:00pm

ach Al-Anon Family Group has but one purpose: to help families of alcoholics. We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps of AA ourselves, by encouraging and understanding our alcoholic relatives, and by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics.

 Brave the Shave believes all kids deserve a healthy, worry-free childhood. This is why we are committed to supporting the full spectrum of their cancer journey by providing assistance to the families and supporting critical research. Your donations primarily fund the Brave the Shave Family Fund and pediatric cancer research through The Andrew McDonough Be Positive (B+) Foundation. These kids can’t do it alone. They have fought heart-wrenching battles, and many continue to fight; we will too. They must be brave; therefore, we will do our part in braving the shave. They are the reason Brave the Shave exists.

RoughRider AMBUCS, a chapter of National AMBUCS, located in Bismarck, ND was chartered in December 2017. We are a 501c3 non profit charitable organization whose mission is to provide mobility & independence to individuals with disabilities. We fulfill this mission by providing scholarships to therapy students, and by providing Amtryke therapeutic tricycles to individuals with disabilities. Amtrykes can be adapted a variety of ways to accommodate riders of all ages, sizes & abilities.
